Make App’s background transparent

Each screenpublishing App is customazible on different levels. Some of them offer, besides color options, the opacity bar. Set the App’s background to transparent or less opaque in order to show content from the layer underneath.

  1. In your screenpublishing account, go to the “Content” page. You can create a new App by clicking on “New” > “App”, or edit an existing one.
  2. The following Apps have the opacity bar enabled:
    • Clock: Analog round clock, Analog square clock, Event Countdown, Holiday Clock, Multi City Clock (both square and round), Simple Clock, and Time Elapsed.
    • News & RSS Feeds: Configurable RSS News, Creative RSS, Flexible News Ticker, Modern RSS, RSS News 1, RSS News 2, RSS News 3, RSS News Scroller, RSS News Ticker 1, and RSS News Ticker 2.
    • Text and Scrollers: Directory List, QR Code, Rich Text Widget, Text Scroller, Text Ticker, Vertical Text Ticker, and Wi-Fi Zone.
  3. Click on the color box at the right of the text field under “Background color”. Select a color and move the arrow on the opacity bar with the checkered design to adjust transparency. Scroll it all the way to the left to make it completely transparent.opacity bar transparency
    • You can also adjust transparency to other App elements. For the Clock App this includes font and dial:

    • Moving the opacity bar is always an option. Some Apps make it even more convenient for you and all you need to do is to check the “Transparent Background” box as is the case for example with the QR Code App.
